Ever since the early days of comics, some illustrators have drawn inspiration from national flags when designing their heroes' costumes. Below you will find images of some Super-Heroes from professionaly published sources as well as the flags that inspired them. Note that I have included some whose costume only contain part of given flag (wonder woman's star spangled shorts) or the whole but in addition to other elements (captain britain, collective man) but I won't include those whose only link is the colours chosen (red, white and blue being so common) unless its an uncommon colour scheme.
Under each images are, in that order, the name of the character, the comics in which he first appeared and the company that currently publish it.
